Saturday 28th of January150 or so members of the Chester Caledonian Association and their guests attended our annual Burns Dinner at Chester racecourse. The meal was superb (as always) and washed down with lashings of malt whisky.
The assembled company.
The Immortal Memory, the highlight of any Burns Dinner, was provided by Emeritus Professor Robin Dunbar who provided a great insight into Burns' works.

The entertainment flowed - Tam O' Shanter recited by Donald Rowantree, a mammoth poem about witches, warlocks and drunken Tam. Emeritus Professor Tim Wheeler and the Lord Mayor Cllr John Leather provided excellent speeches and we had great fiddle music from Paul Anderson MBE, the Tarland Fiddler, and singling from Bruce Davies who hails from the Kingdom of Fife.
