Oor AGM 2026 - Rake Hall

Twenty members attended our AGM Rake Hall on Thursday the 29th October to enjoy a super dinner accompanied by ample refreshments. Immediately before dinner was served we held our AGM and installed our new President - Mr Gordon Clements. Gordon should be weel kent to most of us as he has been organising many events for us over the last few years. He supports Queen's Park.

After dinner Rob Marrs gave a (for him) short talk on “Botanical Black Ops: a bit of a Rùm do!”, a tale of how botanists are super cool and get up to all sorts of mischief and derring do and discussed a mid-20th Century scientific fraud carried out on the Island of Rùm.
