Oor "English Whisky" night

Last night (22nd July) 27 members and guests had a great dinner (up to usual high standards at Chester Golf Course, super food, drinks and great crack.

Thereafter, we were treated to a super talk by Past President Emeritus Professor Sandy McLennan on “English Whisky - Are You Serious?". As an academic Sandy obviously had done a great deal of research on this topic, giving an in-depth account of six English distilleries from across the land, illustrating differences in stills, condensers, ingredients and of course taste. For each distillery there was of courser an accompanying dram which was much appreciated by the audience.
